Bushmans River Trout was established well over 30 years ago. From one man’s desire to grow fish it developed into a small family business. The primary focus was to stock local dams and rivers in KwaZulu Natal.
With new ownership from 2009 came a new initiative to sell top quality table trout to stores all over KZN and Gauteng.

Trout can only survive in cold water that is free from impurities. These conditions make trout a protein-rich food, filled with amino acids. Trout are an excellent source of omega oils, which help to protect the body, particularly against heart diseases. They are also very easy to prepare. Whole fresh trout only takes 10-15 minutes to cook, while hot smoked trout is ready to eat.
